Meet your clinician
Care that begins with being truly understood.
JoJo Adsuara, PMHNP, brings over a decade of psychiatric experience and a warm, judgment-free approach to every person she works with.
Welcome to Clarity Mind Psychiatry. I'm JoJo (Dioanne) Adsuara, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I founded this practice around a simple belief: meaningful care starts with genuinely understanding the whole person — not just a diagnosis.
I earned my Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in psychiatry, at New York University, and I've spent more than a decade caring for adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, and the ordinary-but-heavy weight of major life changes. My approach is compassionate and judgment-free — and grounded in evidence.
How I work
Every person is different, so every plan is, too. I draw on person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and humanistic approaches, paired with thoughtful medication management when it helps. I take the time to understand your history, your goals, and your day-to-day life before we ever settle on a direction.
For some, that means medication and regular check-ins. For others, it's talk, structure, and support through a hard season. Often it's a blend — and it can change as you do.
What I treat
- Depression, anxiety, and stress-related concerns
- Bipolar disorder
- PTSD and trauma
- OCD and ADHD
- Insomnia and sleep difficulties
- Substance use disorders — including buprenorphine treatment
- Grief, burnout, and major life transitions
A space without judgment
Reaching out takes courage, and the first step is often the hardest. My commitment is to meet you with respect and genuine care, to create a safe and culturally sensitive space, and to walk alongside you toward lasting well-being. Welcome to a brighter tomorrow — with someone in your corner.
